The Faith Community Nurse Network has opportunities for you to connect with other FCNs through our online networking forums.
Once a month, experienced faith community nurses facilitate online forums of 6-8 FCNs using Zoom. These forums are a time to share ideas, experiences, and challenges with your FCN colleagues. They are casual, but there is typically a “focus” question each time as well as informal sharing.
FCNN began coordinating these groups at the start of the pandemic. It has been amazing to hear how FCNs have adapted their skills, knowledge, and compassion to offer the intentional care of the spirit during this crisis.
The forums are offered in quarterly cycles: January, February, and March; April, May, and June; and September, October, and November. You’re welcome to join for one quarter or all three!
We offer two different groups:
- First Thursday of the month, 1-2 PM (Central) facilitated by Cheryl Lanigan, MA, BSN, PHN, Faith Community Nurse
- Second Tuesday of the month, 1-2 PM (Central) facilitated by Sondra Weinzierl, RN, BA, MA, Faith Community Nurse
If interested, please decide whether you would like to participate in the Tuesday group or the Thursday group and register below.
In this new “virtual” world, we hope these forums will help you feel the support and compassion of your colleagues, as you all do such important work.
