
How Healthy is Your Faith Community and What Does That Have to Do with Serving God?
Did you know that the physical, emotional and spiritual health of your faith community members can impact the success of your church?
When members are healthy, they’re more likely to serve and make a difference in your congregation and community.
Who are Faith Community Health Promoters?
- They work closely with faith community leaders and members to identify and respond to the health-related needs of a faith community or wider community population.
- They provide relevant health information, resources and support for those who are struggling with health issues and especially in communities where health care information and access is limited.
Who should attend this course?
- No medical background needed! All you need is a calling to encourage physical, emotional and spiritual health and a willingness to complete our training course.
- In this NEW course offered by the Faith Community Nurse Network of the Greater Twin Cities you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to help you begin and lead a health ministry that promotes healthy lifestyles for all ages.
This 15-hour VIRTUAL Course includes:
- The Why and How of starting
- and leading a congregational health program.
- How to offer spiritual care.
- How to help those experiencing grief, loss and mental health issues.
- How to access resources and be an advocate for those in need.
- And much more!
Logistics
When: This course is 5 sessions, attendees must attend all five sessions.

Cost: $75/individual
Limited partial scholarships are available. Organizations may send more than one individual to the course.
