Wanda Alexander is a founding member of FCNN and has served on the board since 2004. She is also a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) Parish Nurse Association and is active with other denominational groups that promote faith community nursing. She is employed by Hennepin County Human Services & Public Health, where she works in resource development. In her career as a public health nurse, Alexander’s work has included labor and delivery nursing, non-profit administration, non-profit leadership and development, and government administration and planning. She also is an adjunct faculty member at Metro State University. Alexander earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Iowa, a master’s degree in public health at the University of Minnesota. She completed faith community nurse training at Concordia College.
